Social Media Coordinator

The Role:

As the Social Media Coordinator at Fresh Start Advisory, you will be responsible for planning, creating and publishing engaging content across our social media channels to grow brand awareness, audience engagement and reach.

This is a hands-on, creative role requiring strong short-form video skills, platform-native thinking and the ability to identify and adapt trends quickly.

You will research, film, edit, caption and post content across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn and emerging platforms as required. You will also support the creation, filming and editing of in-house Meta ad creatives to help drive lead generation and performance marketing outcomes. You will work closely with leadership and key team members to bring content ideas to life, with a high level of autonomy and trust in your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, plan, film, edit, caption and publish content across multiple social media platforms
• Support the filming and editing of in-house Meta ad creatives for paid campaign
• Stay across content and trends currently performing well and understand why they work
• Adapt high-performing content ideas to suit Fresh Start Advisory’s brand, audience and messaging
• Film content using a phone, with a strong understanding of native Instagram and TikTok filming styles, including framing, lighting and composition
• Edit short-form video content optimised for social platforms, creating strong hooks using text, visuals and audio
• Understand audience retention metrics and intentionally create content designed to keep viewers watching
• Analyse content performance, identify what is working, articulate why, and iterate accordingly
• Continuously test new ideas, formats and styles to progress social channels forward

Skills & Experience

• 1+ years’ experience in social media content creation
• Strong experience filming content using an iPhone
• Proven short-form video editing skills
• Strong copywriting skills for scripts, captions, written posts and on-screen text hooks
• Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram native content styles and trends
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment
• Curious, adaptable and proactive in keeping up with constant platform changes
